Large parcel from Fr to Uk.
Any reccommendations please for couriers, or is la poste as good as any.

Large parcel from Fr to Uk.
So (sorry for the "so" objectors) this is too big for La Poste.
Not having sent anything to the UK, this is based on companies in whom I have been able to develop some faith. There is a problem however since although these companies have UK bases as well as French ones, I have seen occasions where a package has been handed over to a competitor for final delivery.
Nevertheless my recommendations would be:
Fedex
UPS
DHL
DPD
without any specific preference implied.

DHL shipped us a gearbox and clutch last June at a v good price for delivery and customs clearance fee
The company supplying the box sent it DHL economic rate and despite the box residing in Lyon over a weekend it arrived in 5 days from despatch from Wolverhampton.
