Nappes phréatiques/Water table

#1 Post by Blaze »

It's a complete myth that it rains all the time in Brittany but we have had a fair amount over the winter this year. We needed it because some area, like ours, were in the red during and after the summer, with lakes and reservoirs almost dry.
The situation now is great for us but not quite so good for some other areas. Levels in some area like the north west are still going down.

Levels still low in the Lot although the recent rains over the past couple of months have helped, not torrential so soaking in.
What I am noticing still is where I have walked for 30 years and used to have to wellie it in winter water is not running on the surface.... maybe tomorrow, after the sleety snow this evening.
How do people live without at least one dog in the house?
