We saw one yesterday to easily compare with that. Even though we get more than our fair share of rain here the rainbows are a rare event. Yesterday's was the best I have seen in my life. The colours were intense, the primary band was very wide and the secondary was distinct.
Thought briefly about going to look for the pot of gold but decided it would add more complication to our tax situation.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

We’ve had sunshine in the south of England, but with only 10/12C. On arriving in Marseille today it was not only sunny but also 18C - really pleasant.

I read that Brittany is to continue with poor weather - sorry to read that.

Get ready for a weekend of hot, sandy air! Apparently the whole of France is going to get a light dusting of Sahara "dust", so don't wash your cars and don't put the washing out!

I must admit, I don't mind the weather one bit - the rain is great for the garden and the wind doesn't really bother us as it's mainly from the west and south-west. The house faces north-ish and south-ish. It isn't cold so it doesn't stop us getting out and about, walking etc - and washing dries a treat outside !!!

We had intended going off for 2 or 3 days in our caravan, but have decided to wait until the wind drops - we can leave at the drop of a hat, so it doesn't really matter. I managed to give the grass a cut yesterday - the ride-on has a brand new battery and starts like a charm ! Talking of new batteries, our 8 year old Golf has also just had its first new battery - brilliant !

Had that last week. Awoke to a sinister looking orange sky. Not the sun since there was thick cloud that developed into thunder storms. Still washing rust coloured dust off surfaces.

The orange dust didn't come this far, but the sky was extraordinary yesterday evening. These 2 photos were taken barely 5 minutes apart :

Yep .. we had the same orange skies here in Morbihan late last evening .. astonishing shade of orange, gradually fading - it lasted quite a while over the sea.
It was very interesting to watch. Totally gone by this morning thank goodness.
