Are our engineers here in the West much more careful and better listened to?? Two question marks, because I do have my doubts. Visiting Thurso, more than ten years ago, in the North of Scotland, there was an information centre about the dismantling of the Dounreay reactor, in the main street. My friends continued their tour in and around the centre, I listened to what the staff had to tell about Dounreay. Also one of the many little stories, about digging and finding a non documented High-voltage cable. Old, yes, but a live line. Fascinating, almost unbelievalble how all those official organisations with their protocols and procedures totally missed the contamination in this area, not an innocent beach in Thurso.
