Some poor people have bad flooding. I was just looking at our forecast, down to 8C on Monday here in Berkshire, with frost during the week - it will be rather a shock after such mild weather, need to get chilly weather gear out ready.

It is still autumn though.

Having said that, next Friday is forecast to stay below zero all day and Saturday is forecast to snow.

Thunder all last night - within earshot but not too intrusive - but this morning a couple of strikes were close enough to trip various electrical circuits.

It's eerie but the temps are still in the teens here but that's due to change tomorrow as the wind goes round to the north.

No real signs of winter here yet. Mild temps and still lots of work in the garden to do. I took down the wire mesh around the now unused chicken run and intend to use the metal posts to make a log cutting stand. By the time I got all the tools ready to start the project it began to rain. Not good working with mains power tools outside so had to pack it all away. Maybe try again another day. Wish we had a barn to work in.
Generally, it is the usual Brittany weather. Sky like lead with an occasional blue patch.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

It would help the other members if you put your location in your post, so we know where you are taking about.

Hundreds of grues went past today - blown down by the cold North wind! L'hiver est arrivée!
