Storm moved away at 1 pm, brillìant sunshine for our barbe, 30c
Enjoyed the afternoon with our Australian/British holiday home neighbours, catching up.
Told us its cool at 30c back in Dubai today its 40c, their winter's lowest is 26c.
Their teenage son at uni in the uk costs them £20,000 a year.
The daughter costs about the same in Dubai.
Hope they keep their parents in old age.

Still fettling my stainless fitting plate for the flue. Final bit tomorrow will be to drill and tap 6 holes partway up inside the chimney without being able to see what I'm doing.
Happy Days.

On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

I've moved a very interesting discussion about dealing with invasive bamboo to it's own thread, to save the useful information getting buried. - viewtopic.php?f=14&t=148
I've done too much today to write on here and I've got a long list of things to do this afternoon.
Time to take the chelsea buns out of the oven now.

I hope your mowers working better than ours - first bit of sunshine we've had for ages had dried off the grass, and the mowers packed up working properly - I'm just looking for the sledgehammer to fix it once and for all.
Good luck tomorrow.

Tinkering about today on a house but achieved very little. I would have posted a picture of a door I was working on but I made a mess of it.

Let us know how you get on with the moth trap Steve.
Not doing much today - it's freezing cold (and raining) again outside.
