:lol: I've got one :lol:

Had our solar velux blinds installed this morning - it was a bit touch and go cos he said whilst the wind wasn't a problem he didn't want the rain pouring in - fortunately the rain held just long enough and all works well.

Well, it's been more than a bit windy here all day, but our forecast says up to 70km/hr. Goodness knows what it's been like where some of you are.

Same here...70kmph gusts predicted and received and that's more than enough! I'm very thankful that it's a westerly, though, and not a full-on easterly. The westerlies tend to whizz over the crest of the hill behind us which mitigates the effect. The neighbour's son will be pleased. He's looking at his third roof repair job in so many weeks :lol:
One positive is the rippling of the wheat in the fields all around. When you live far from the coast, it's almost as beautiful as the sea :)

Although I dislike the wind, and so did my much missed OH, it always brings a smile to my face. We were like a couple of kids him and me, and we called gusts 'gussets', and then we'd laugh. So yesterday's 'gussets' brought him back to me, briefly :lol:

It rained so much yesterday that I haven't even been out to look at the damage done to the post & rail fencing by a fallen tree in the paddock. The horses aren't on that part at the moment so it's not immediately urgent.

Changing the subject;
Naming the storm Mathis reminded me of a guy who worked for me years ago.
His wife an ardent Johnny Mathis fan & when he opened a garden fete near us she just had to go to see him.
Catching up with Johnny the guy said " Mr Mathis, my wife is great fan of yours. Would you mind me taking a photo of you both.
Johnny was only too happy to oblige & the pose was struck with said guy the camera man.
The roll of film was rushed to the chemists for developing (remember those days) & the wife waited impatiently fot the photos to arrive.
Quickly thumbing though the photos she found the one of her & Johnny.
Trouble was the guy had taken a great photo but had cut their heads off.
It was nearly divorce time. :lol: :lol:
