Weren't they the previous hosts, so come just before France, being this year's host? There were a couple of others out of alphabetical order, which threw me momentarily!

I've just watched a clip of Céline blasting out L'hymne de l'amour in best Piaf style. Wunnerful! I'm a big Dion fan singing in French, espercially with JJ Goldman.
As fror the rest, I see it lasted 4 hours, which must have left the spectators jaded, not to say soaked.
Now for the sport!

Didn't watch it, no interest really, I expect Clair Bald one will get her snout in the box.

They have been previous hosts but are not the previous hosts. That was Japan.

Didn't watch but caught a few highlights. We have guests - but I am not sure I would have watched anyway.

We watched all of it but missed seeing that the Olympic flag was upside-down

I began to watch but soon got bored with the boats on the river bit. What I shall remember is the young pianist battling through his solo whilst the rain poured torrentially on that poor piano. I then caught up with something I'd recorded earlier and came back to see the ever-increasing number of runners taking the torch to its final destination and Celine singing alongside the same piano still getting wetter.

The best bit for me was the mechanical horse galloping down the Seine. Really effective. And Celine Dion at the end.
