Yes Agen had 129mm according to le Figero, other papers say a different amount but who's going to argue over a mil or two its still a lot of water. Agen is only an hour south of us.
Villeneuve sur Lot had 72mm
We had 15mm in all.

We had about a minute of large plops.

We could do with some rain soon (not before lunch though as we've booked a table outside for fish and chips!).

Yes, it was certainly the turn of the Lot-et-Garonne area yesterday. Here's Sud Ouest's take on it:

Thé rain has just started here: I had planned to sit outside with my book, to recover from my French class.

According to my lightning app its Montauban and south getting the hammering from storms tonight.

Had some more heavy rain this evening, but no storm or high winds, just as we like it. :D
The bottom pond is nowhere near full yet, even though I transferred 500 litres of overnight rain to it, but it is looking more like a pond than a marsh.
The much larger, but protected in the trees from evaporation, swimming pond has not lost any water during the drought, but today is 3 cms deeper than it was yesterday. ;)

Baking again here today - but the chap who delivered our wood this afternoon said it was going to rain a bit tomorrow. I'll trust him, Farmers always seem to know what the weather's going to be like. :D

Storms on the horizon for us in NE Dordogne - may miss us again! Looks like another unsettled week.

Heavy rain showers last night, so much came down the chimney into our woodburner that the booster fan has shorted out and blows the fuse (breaker) and takes out all the electric in the room even when switched off. That's a bugger. I hope it is OK once its had a few days to dry out. Fixing it will be impossible because it is an insert and I can't lift it out for repair.

The forecast showed no clue this rain was coming.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.
