No kidding !!! Your situation is worse than ours as it affects your income. We have folks who help us with mowing and strimming and they have had a terrible time scheduling their clients. Last time, they mowed/strimmed our garden in light rain. They must have to spend a great deal of time cleaning the underside of their riding mowers...

It's really tiresome and impacts so many things (negatively). The roads are in terrible shape and there have been so many rock slides closing off roads. Not to mention the impact on the mood of all of us. Can't imagine living in Glasgow.

I booked to have my boat lifted out of the water on Friday so I can antifoul it ready for the season. I booked the rendezvous and asked for a date after 1st of May because I didn’t trust the weather in March or April. Rain or not I will be doing it on Friday. The forecast says rain, lots of it.

That brings back memories of when we used to get our Eygthene 24 lifted out of the harbour & left hanging in the strops on the jetty whilst we rushed to wash it off & get it re-antifouled as crane charged by the hour .
Can't remember the name of the evil stuff we used but it was close to getting banned due to it's toxicity.

My sister is on holiday in Scotland at the moment - showing off blue skies, and white fluffy clouds. IN SCOTLAND, I say - that's nuts!

Better weather (hoping!) middle of next week - so all three of us will be out trying to catch up (and earn some money!)

Yesterday 30th the weather was marvellous. Long lunch on the terrasse with friends. Today when I was doing a Bourse d'Echanges to sell car parts it was raining so I didn't go. The benefit there was not having to leave the house at 06.00.

Tri-butyl tin compounds used to be the poison of choice for anti-fouling. It is as you suggest highly toxic to the point where its use has been progressively banned on small vessels, so it may not be what you used.

Always a nuisance choosing anti-fouling. Always getting more expensive and less effective..
On top of expensive liftouts. :?
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.
