Re: Weather
Loads of half-dead twiggy bits fell overnight and things have been blown about a bit. The horses are happy though as yesterday's rain has given them some much-missed mud to roll in again.
It's almost eerily still this morning and very sunny.

Absolutely! My shaggy shetland loves to get soaking wet, then add a coat of fresh, liquid mud!

Re: Weather
Absolutely georgeous here at the mo. I'm sitting on the west facing terrace in me shirt sleeves enjoying a glass (or two) of Scotlands finest waiting for the sun to disappear behind the trees.
Hell of a change from 4 deg first thing this morning.

Re: Weather
It's 15° here at the moment with a cloudless blue sky, it's more summer like than we had in Summer.

Thanks to our previously mentioned micro climate, 15C this morning while there was frost on the neighbour's roof top and in the field 200m away. 12C in the pond at midday.

Re: Weather
Really heavy frost here this morning, and I've had to put my thick winter gardening coat on, for the first time this year, to stack wood and do some harvesting 'cos it's blooming freezing outside. My hands have gone red and my ears have gone numb.
As it's starting to get a bit chilly indoors now I think I'm going to light the fire after I've gone and got some kindling. We don't normally put the heating on this early especially not this time of year.

It is here too .. glorious, with the big but that the wind is really chilly. If you can find a sheltered spot then you'd be fine.manonthemoon2 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 3:22 pm It's 15° here at the moment with a cloudless blue sky, it's more summer like than we had in Summer.![]()

It's been glorious today - we played at the Fête du Port in Saint-Malo in polo shirts just before midday. At 18h30 there's not a cloud in the sky ... hope it stays nice for tomorrow : a large crowd expected for the October Rose run for breast cancer and our Breton music group will be playing for entertainment !
