Looks wonderful RA but I'm glad we don't have that here ! We did have a hailstorm in the night, the banging against the shutters/windows woke us up. But apart from a cold wind today, it's definitely spring off to a slow start.

Had to leave early this morning to get OH to the hospital only to find that we had had freezing rain overnight. That took some time to clear off the windscreen and we ended up nearly being late for the appointment; having built in a very good time margin originally and also not helped by an artic doing 30kph down the 10km drop into the Rhone valley - no passing places on the mountain roads.

The lovely spring weather is due to continue today. We spent much of yesterday afternoon sitting in the garden in the sunshine in a sheltered area. However, the chilly easterly wind is forecast to continue today when we’ll have a high of 16C.
