Weather ... again
I plant broad beans and cauliflowers in October to overwinter under protection to plant out as early as possible next year. This year I've had to trim the beans right back as they have been growing away in the mild temperatures.
Happily, zero degrees this morning out with the dogs at first light. Two of them came out of the thick mist with pieces of ice on their hind quarters so I assume that ice was hanging off some low bushes. Proper cold, that's better.

Same here, but 'proper cold' due next week. Bad for the pocket but good for the planet!

Weather ... again
It was such a lovely sunny day yesterday, such a contrast to today’s awful weather, very wet and so dark! I feel sorry for those who have much worse conditions - I know there’s flooding in places plus strong winds.
Thinking of DJ Sara Cox doing the Great Northern Marathon Challenge - 5 marathons in 5 days in bad conditions, finishing today - she’s raised more than £6,000,000 for Children in Need so far!

It's just dullsville here, endless greyness and clag. A lot of spitting rather than a good downpour ....
