I have to say I will DiY the frames. That's part of the fun.

As for compost - back to lawn mowing and composting the clippings, leaves and other stuff it picks up with a mix of suitable manure - the only issue is time for it to mature.

A friend tried it out in a small beautifully constructed carré last spring. Frankly, it was a pile of rubbish! Branches at the bottom, cardboard, grass clippings, leaves and a 25kg sack of manure. There's no way it had time to rot down, but she planted tomatoes and a courgette into it anyway. They grew and thrived, up until the point where blight struck, but then almost everyone's toms got blight last year. It was quite an eye-opener, though, in terms of what will grow where :)

Saw another article about the prices coming down on Monday:

https://www.ouest-france.fr/economie/tr ... 5d2364d73f

Still don't know whether he's talking of a decrease in general, or just the Lerclerc group.... So, I stand corrected on The Connexion article! :)

The price of crude fell sharply last week so prices should come down.

Diesel €2,22 at our local small Auchan yesterday. Good job I don't need any and a necessary trip to Perigueux on Friday may offer a chance of a cheaper top up.

Just been out to try to get fuel for lawn mower & tractor.
Our little independant who was 10c cheaper on all fuels compared to SuperU, the only other local source, has sold out of every fuel except sp 98 @ 1,97€ so bought 10 l.
SuperU had all fuels with pumps deserted. Diesel was 2,07€ so bought 20 l.
Just over 60€ spent on 30 l of fuel ! I remember putting best part of 80 l of diesel in the Pug 806's tank for the same money in them good old days when we first moved over here.

For some reason it sticks in my mind that on Euro day 2002(?) diesel was 70c/litre. :(

Got an oil delivery today and it worked out at 1.64 euros a litre. Better than expected as I thought it would be closer to 1.8. I was complaining when it was around 0.9 euros a litre not that long ago.
