Fortuatey we saw this coming and got Misha (36) rugged last night. We can be certain that he won't overheat in the sunshine.

Middle of last I was looking at our nags in the stable via the cctv system & thought the place was on fire until I realised it was 3 deg outside & it was steam coming off them.

Snow threatened
a couple of dryish days and then rain for as far as they are prepared to forecast.
Welcome to spring.

Wet once again.
After 10mm over night we've had 7mm today so far.
When will it stop?

Yes when ? Rain or heavy clouds are forecasted for every day through April 12th. Now I know the forecast can't be relied on beyond 48 hours (if that), and I'm sure hoping it will be wrong, but just the thought of it is depressing.

Clocks go forward tomorrow night - so looking on the bright side, that's one hour less of rain!

Wow, that was nearly four seasons in one day (cue Crowded House!
)
Wind, stair-rod rain, thunder and lightning, hail. Flippin' heck! River Isle is at maximum, and on the corner it's actually come into our field where usually it just floods the opposite side, where the force naturally wants to go - could also hear the banging of tree trunks caught in it's wake every so often.
I watched the big band of it on Zoom Earth last night, going right across the country - barely moved for hours, or rather, I guess it was just moving with the rotation of the planet, which made it look like it wasn't moving at all. That was weird! Off to check how much of the lower paddocks are flooded ....
