What a load of Rubbish.
I can cope with the fish and chicken carcass, but has anyone any bright ideas for dog poo bags. I’m definitely not putting those in the freezer and I don’t really want to fill the village waste bins.

@Chappers51 We put them out with the rubbish but there isn't usually much as he does most of his poos when we take him out. We only half fill a 50L bin bag every week with our own rubbish so they don't take up much room. Bagged up, they don't seem to smell .....
@Veem Thanks for the tip about the freezer ! That said, we buy scallops in bulk and there would be too many shells to freeze. But for prawns, perfect !

I hope you pick up your dog poo!! And assuming you do it must go in the bin.Blaze wrote: ↑Fri Jun 02, 2023 6:48 pm @Chappers51 We put them out with the rubbish but there isn't usually much as he does most of his poos when we take him out. I often make a fish stock before freezing the fish remains too and add that to prawn curries, which gives lovely added flavour. As Julien says, the shells then have almost no smell .

Only where it would be unhygienic to leave it ! Nothing wrong with scuffing it into the hedgerows along the tracks - who's going to go for a long walk carrying a bag of poo ??

Or just hang them on the nearest tree! Nice!

Poo biodegrades better than any plastic bag, even those that are supposedly bio-degradable !
Because poo biodegrades better than a plastic bag, even those that are supposedly bio-degradable ! Who bags up horse poo while out riding ? I don't and I've never seen anyone dismount to bag up their accompanying dog's poo, perish the thought

Well, you say that, but people do complain about horse poo on the roads! Here are some handy hints for poo picking for horse riders. Warning - some bad language!
