Gendarmes did a study and found that 90% of banknotes in FR have traces of drugs on them, mainly cocaine.

I am not sure the cocaine is introduced at the manufacturing stage.

We watch "Border control" Canada/ US border crossing they have very sophisticated equipment it often goes off on innocent people, as the drug trace is on their money, also another common one is on your suitcase, it could have been stored next to one that has/had drugs in it.

It's probably from the bankers (or politicians) snorting it up via €20 notes.

@ Niemeyjt, probably the cocaine has been imported, because: Seulement 10% des billets émis par la France seraient utilisés à des fins de transaction en France. No hard figures available. Second best the statistics and estimations by the Banque de France.
