Eating out in France

With all the possible shortages at mcdoos we stopped off in Auvergne.
First time back here at our favourite restaurant in two years.

The view is superb, the weather looks good .. but how was the food ?
What did you (including ATS ) eat ?

[mention]suein56[/mention] The food was as good as before, we had our usual choice here, a delicious cheese omelette and AtS had a green salad and I had chips . We don't eat a lot for lunch but they do have a very good menu if you wanted something more substantial and they have a good choice of wine but we are sharing the driving today so just a bottle of badoit for us.
No promo either, mcdoos has a coke glass just now.

Happy to hear you ate well and in a glorious setting ..

Our McDos glasses date from about 10 years or so ago when our grandchildren used to insist on a visit to the McDos, which was very close to Rennes Airport, just after they landed.

Wow, that's some view. We have our favourite restaurants around us but none of them has such a stunning terrace. Where is it?

I am fed up so off to San Sebastian Spain tomorrow to see what we can find I am a skinflint so it will probably be a sandwich

I know you have been here a while and San Sebastian in very nice but you can buy a sandwich in France now.
What happens at the border now do you get your passport stamped?

Looks like a lovely spot to have lunch - I'd probably spend too long there though, I'd get lost in the beautiful view while I was drinking my coffee.

Me too ,our ‘posh’ restaurant that we use for special occasions has a view over the Allier Valley to the Puys ,it’s hard to think about what you are eating sometimes
