scrap metal

#1 Post by hughnique »

Having a clear out and get rid of stuff I am never likely to use, I came across a bit of brass, in the form of cable glands and plumbing fittings, seems a shame as they are mostly new, never used, but it's one of those things that you think they would be useful to the right person, but they don't exist. So off to the scrappy and see what he doesn't want to give me for it, think about 10kg in total for the brass. Anyone any idea of what it fetches to the kilo.

No idea. I have taken loads of copper and brass fittings to the tip. Anywhere that would weigh them in wouldn't pay enough to cover my fuel cost getting it there.
Good luck.

This is where we need Chancer's input :D He made a fortune clearing the scrap from his new venture near Bergerac. I suspect that copper and brass will make more than old scrap iron farm implements!
