I might live long enough for the French to understand what emails are for.
I have had a serious sort of letter about my property (or something) it is not clear so I went to the tax site to make a RDV for a face to face. I used their own RDV form over a week ago and then an ordinary email. No response. Their first message threatened action if I don't respond within 30 days.

On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

Maddening isn't it ! It is extremely frustrating when the only way you can speak with someone is to get in the car and drive to that person's business. And, heaven forbid, it must be within their, often restricted, hours of operation.

I had so many problems with the Certicode a few years back that I decided to close my account - but I couldn't the system wouldn't let me do it so I had to make a complaint and eventually months later they closed the account.

Years ago Les Impots used to respond to emails but more recently I have had more success using the on site messagerie.Hotrodder wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 10:32 am I might live long enough for the French to understand what emails are for.

They are sometimes a bit slow to respond, but they have always done so.
They sorted out the incorrect description of our property when all the fuss was on about advising when property was rented out.

Using messageries seems to becoming more common. I've just had the same with ENEDIS - even after speaking to them when they called as a follow-up they wouldn't give me an e-mail address so I could send them some screenshots of my (actually their website) problem. They didn't believe there was a problem and screenshots would have provided a simple explanation..
I suspect one of the reasons could be they were getting too much spam with their contact e-mail addresses being widely distributed. At least with a messagerie there will have been a sign in with password/or two-factor authorisation which will limit the junk somewhat.
