If I am correct not far from a little hamlet called Espedaillac, my introduction to French life, working there on an old derelict barn for an English customer. There was also an eccentric old brit in the village a Ted Boucher, right laugh he was, my introduction to the French way of life which I yearned after for the next 40 years.

Grotte de Pech Merle is a wonderful place but book your tickets online to make sure you get in.

Yes that is the Gouffre de Padirac.
Grotte de Peche Merle is very different with prehistoric paintings and pre-booking is essential.

Such an unhelpful answer. The point of a post like this on a forum (and especially a small forum like this) is to elicit more personalised advice than Google can give you. Spam sites are now very prevalent on google.Quiksilver wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2024 12:49 pm If you Google 'Figeac' you'll perhaps get some helpful answers, GAO![]()
Sorry, glazedallover, I have no knowledge of Figeac.

I could of course have pointed out that it's spelt Figeac and been lambasted for being pedantic, but I gave GAO a lot more credit for subtlety than you evidently do. Get over yourself, hein?Quiksilver wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2024 12:49 pm If you Google 'Figeac' you'll perhaps get some helpful answers, GAO![]()
