How often do you wash your clothes?

According to the Ecological Transition Agency you should wash underwear daily, sports clothes after 3 days, T-shirts after 5 days, bras after 7 days and jeans after 30 days.

Nice to see useful advice coming out for your tax euros.

I don't often wear a bra, but for the others I either wash as suggested or mostly more frequently.

There's no way my squash tops and shorts would have lasted 3 days. Even now my polo shirts get changed every 2 days

My clothes would walk to the washing machine by themselves if I left them that long, or disintegrated on the way !
I wouldn't leave sports gear hanging around for 3 days and I wouldn't wear the same pair of jeans for a month. Other people's smelly clothes, particularly as they get older, is less than pleasant. More frequent washing on a lower temperature keeps them clean and fresh, and with an 800 spin, they last for ages !

I couldn't get past the paywall, but I assume there was nothing about how long you should leave trainers without washing them ??

Well, when they're coming off the cat walk promoting dirty jeans, why bother washing them at all? Just febreeze them ('cos we know that's real! ) and you're good to go - and totally on trend! Result!!

This reminds me of the recent article about a doctor who decided not to take a shower for more than a year (can't remember how many years). It was on the CNN page.

We will wear certain clothes more than one time if they are not soiled. But, underwear and socks are a one wear only for us. I read you should change hand towels DAILY. I feel guilty washing bath towels only once per week.

Anything that touches the skin apart from jeans etc get worn once and then washed, the DW bra gets changed when she feels like a change of colour so every few weeks.

Bras should be washed frequently, as they should fit tightly. Wearing them stretches out the elastic so they won't fit as well as they should. After washing the elastic rebounds.
I'd say: underwear 1 day, tops 3 days, jeans/leggings/skirts 1 week.

I would say underwear a day, tops two days, trousers jeans three to four. But I also wear various uniforms so I may wear things over a length of time ,but not actually wear them that much if that makes sense
