WC warm-up matches this weekend

#1 Post by MAD87 »

They're all having a runaround this weekend, hoping to reach peak fitness before the serious stuff starts on 8 September.

TF1 ar showing Scotland-France at 4 p.m. (our time) this afternoon. Refer to English channels for other matches (I don't have them).

France will win the Cup as of course - everyone knows they're the best team in the world, despite being only 2nd in the world rankings.....

Also Wales v England 18.30 and Ireland v Italy 21.00. I don't see any listings for them on UK TV but both will be shown on L'Equipe (channel 21 on TNT).

Thanks LG. I don't think we have access to L'Equipe, but useful to know.

A match of 2 halves. Well played Scotland being a man short.

A great match, thanks for the heads-up MAD. I have never seen a card changed from yellow to red after the player has been off for 3-4 minutes!

I've never seen it either.New rules I think, involving the ref in the basement reviewing the video and peering at the rule book in the dark.
Brilliant match in the end and all credit to Scotland for coming back afte r a needless error. Fageson made his side suffer, but they made sure France suffered.
I hope Ireland don't take any chances tonight!

England were pretty poor, especially in second half. Kept dropping the ball. So many basic errors and backs lacking any penetration. I hope their 1st team are better
