Amelanchier berries
Anyone with the brilliant Amelanchier shrub - now is the time to enjoy their dark little berries. Also called the Serviceberry or Juneberry, this multi-season shrub is one of the most pleasing I've owned. Lovely little white flowers in Spring, edible berries ripening now, then an amazing Autumn show of colour later on. What's not to like? Free fruit! "serviceberry appears to be an excellent source of manganese, magnesium, and iron, and a relatively good source of calcium, potassium, copper, and carotenoids"

et rustique, for those of us who live in Limousin! Thanks for the info - there are 2 people I know who need these shrubs.
