OH has just spent the last 2 afternoons topping the grass. Hopefully that’s it for this year. I can’t remember him ever having to do this in November before.

Cut some grass yesterday and was hoping to finish it today but the gloomy damp weather is back again.

Was hoping to get in a last cut yesterday before the forecast rain next week but it drizzled and as the grass is long it was a non-starter.
If all else fails, the strimmer with a nylon cord works well but it would be a long job ...

If you were in France in 2004, then I suspect you have. November 8, 2004 was the day our horses arrived from the UK. It was so warm we were in shorts and t-shirts and the boys went immediately onto lush, long grass, not needing a rug for weeks.

Cut almost all grass yesterday, warm, almost summertime, a slight breeze, started around 3 pm in the afternoon, grass not too dampy. Probably the last cut this season. Sunday, mowing not allowed here and changing weather conditions next week.

Non ! I had a maison secondaire in Quillan, Aude but with just a small courtyard. I sold up and purchased up here in 2010 and moved permanently in 2013 so no grass cutting until then .
