It might certainly put a few youngsters off having babies if they watched it. Not sure many men could watch that actually, Call the Midwife is sometimes a bit graphic! 
I remember when I had our first child, in Exeter Hospital - it was a comedy on our part, as is our nature, but the staff were brilliant. Second baby was born at home - which also would have made an excellent comedy sketch - me, Mr B, Midwife and two Ambulance workers all squished into our small bedroom. Perhaps I could give them some extra material to work with!
Times have obviously changed, and not for the better.
