I have one of the new Freesat boxes which has worked well for many years. Just lately and it appears to happen at around 9pm several channels are not available citing no signal or channel unavailable. Other channels are fine. The signal and quality is good. If I do a channel search the problem goes away. Any ideas?

Channel search or channel retune? Quality is more important than signal strength. Freesat will come to an end soon so thinking of alternative solutions may be advisable.

I also read about Freesat going belly up in a year or so. Largely because the broadcasting companys are finding it cheaper to use internet streaming deals than satellite contracts. So instead of being free, you will end up paying extra to get TV via your ISP and/or pay for a streaming service. Even these are starting to bombard people with ads. That will be the point I give up on TV in any form.

Quality is good. A retune fixes the problem but just for 24 hours

Plenty of choice online to read about the future of satellite TV and quality vs strength of satellite signals.
