Has anyone seen this series which was aired on Canal + ? We bought 5 of the series on DVD and are on the 4th. It's about the French "secret service" and takes place in Paris, Syria, Ukraine, Turkey and Russia so far. It's addictive, scary, full of the latest technology and well-acted. I don't know how anyone has the courage to be an undercover agent .....

Sounds like my cup of tea but we don't have 'French' TV and I refuse to buy any more DVDs as we have a pile having given a lot away!

We only have French TV but none of the paying channels like Canal+.
We're pretty selective about what we watch (can't stand plateaux, game shows, etc), preferring drama or documentaries and when we first came to live in France, French TV enabled us to pick up the language very quickly. Hard work but worth it.
From what we've seen of UK TV, we haven't missed much  However, there are sometimes series on France 3 in VO such as "Young Morse" and "The Bay" which we enjoyed.

I warn you Char, it's addictive and we have to ration ourselves. It's interesting because it's all current stuff. You have to concentrate like mad but the advantage of watching on DVD is you can stop and wind back if you think you've missed something ! They use various different languages, and the actors sometimes speak English, Russian etc etc and there are sometimes subtitles. The languages fit well with the scenarios.
