I used to use a whitening toothpaste which helped then I thought enough and changed the worktops!

Probably would if you get enough of it to fill the glass they're in.

Who would have thought a post on grout would become so entertaining?
My HG stuff has just arrived. Will report back in due course - have to wipe over the tile work first to give it a fighting chance.

Thanks for the tip tagh. I have part of a strip of white mastic behind the kitchen sink where black mould has formed and stained. I got some of the stuff you recommended (there were two options and I chose HG 186050104 Anti-Mould Liquid Spray) and applied it this morning. The marks have not fully gone but the very dark black has turned to faint grey. I am going to continue with the liquid in the hope that the staining goes completely.

A good tip.

Update. I did a tiled shower area and the result was total success. Not only a few small areas of black mould, but larger areas with the dreaded red mould that ordinary bleach doesn't touch. Word of warning. Do Not Use without good ventilation. The smell is wicked. I left the extractor fan running a full day and it is still lingering. Anyone that is particularly sensitive should avoid this product. I found the microscopic instructions difficult to translate because of size, etc. but I think it says to avoid contact with painted surfaces or any metal. Beware.
