Female electricians, a climate solution?
It's not always easy working in a man's world (been there, done it). The majority are fine, polite, courteous and helpful but you can come across one or two loud-mouthed, bad mannered louts who think being rude is clever and funny and they can make your life hell. It's worse when they are incompetent. It can be difficult to deal with in a way that will not make people refuse to work with you.
Sadly there will always be prejudices against women doing what were traditionally men's jobs. A perceived threat to their manhood ?? Many conveniently forget that during the war women were found to be perfectly competent to do many men's jobs : they were even trusted to work on aircraft which required mechanical and electrical skills.

Sadly a catch-22. If women in a particular trade was the norm, the boorish behaviour would stop. But until it stops, women won't take up the trade in large numbers.
Having said that, the government's childcare policies will likely still deter some.
