It always make me wonder why French cars have such a bad reputation in UK. The wife's 24-year old Peugeot has had a hard life and has 325,000km on the clock at the moment and has had no breakdowns and has had only minor maintenance done in all that time. (It has had two cam belt renewals.) She loves it. I respect it.

Amongst many others I had two personal 'Froggies' in the UK. & Mme had one.
A Renault 25, Citroen Xantia estate & 2 CV.
Two of my company's service vans were Peugeot.
Serviced regularly we never had any serious trouble with any of them & like 'H' always wondered about the negative talk

Pen arrived yesterday and went straight back for return, can't even get the top off and I am no weakling. Not the slightest hint of any instructions, sell it with a couple of scratches, I doubt, in retrospect, whether the price I might achieve will be any different with or without the marks. There is a firm always advertising not far away, EWIGO, they buy cars, but for what price who knows.

I had a 2CV, a Saxo,four BX diesels, a Xantia, and a C5. All bought new and changed at 3 years old. All, except the 2CV and Saxo, were used extensively for caravanning. Never had any problems with any of them.
