New driving regs for 2026
Is it not an offense to drive with faulty or non-working lights? These drivers wouldn't last ten minutes in UK without being pulled by the cops.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

You obviously don't drive on the same roads as I do! Police Area (panda) cars won't bother and Roads Policing Units (traffic cops) have been pared back as to be virtually non-existent.
One annoyance - the unnecessary use of front/rear foglights - seems to have disappeared. Probably because most people can't find the switch on modern layouts. And many cars no longer have front foglights.

But they do have those daft lights that turn on and off as the steering wheel is turned.

One of mine was fog lights on the front and every two years it gets an advisory fail for being aimed wrong. There is no adjustment. They are mounted on solid brackets. The only way to change their direction is to take a hammer to the brackets or change the springs on the car. Bonkers!

I think the CT comments on every single car that the fog lights are out of alignment - it's a standing joke here!Hotrodder wrote: ↑Wed Jan 07, 2026 11:28 am One of mine was fog lights on the front and every two years it gets an advisory fail for being aimed wrong. Has anyone tried anti night time glare glasses? I was thinking of getting some for OH, but not sure they're any good?

There is a long discussion on a camper group that I am a member of. Somebody posted this link,

This is a link to the discussion on the camper group, but I am not sure if it is public, or just for members.

If I'm being tailgated day or night I slow down and put on the hazard lights. Usually makes them pull back!
