What strikes me about the aforementioned group is this. Initial requests go to an organisation known as ANTS, who, it appears, do all the initial processing and request any further paperwork you may be required to furnish to support the exchange. Once that is all to their satisfaction it is then pushed up the line to another government department known as CERTS, who actually issue the licence. Albeit it is nice to have someone to guide you through the process, it is a bit strange that these government departments, seem to rely on information and prompts from a Facebook group?

French foncs aren't generally known for their helpfulness or ability to implement new systems  What we, as end-users, don't get to see are the directives from the Ministry of the Interior which must have been snowing down on them at the same time that they were trying to get to grips with hundreds of demands from panicked foreign nationals. Ms Cranstoun's acerbic manner seems to have cut through the 'fog' like a laser beam  Even she has had her work cut out, though, keeping up with the changes to procedure.

Just a quick update, Hughnique. OH's permis arrived this morning, four years after applying  Without Ms Cranstoun's help and without resorting to 'borrowing' my generously-offered speeding ticket :D
