I had to pay more than 2€/l for diesel last week so you got off lightly - in a manner of speaking.

At my recent rate of consumption in recent years I only have to fill about 3 or 4 times a year. Just as well.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

Just looked at the local station on my walk this morning - 2.48 for diesel - with a 5c off offer taking it to 2.43.
Looks like I shall try to make it to France on fumes for the next tankful.

Once upon a time diesel was the car to have, then it all went face about. My son bought a Vauxhall Insignia diesel a couple of years back, he lives in Bexleyheath Kent. Now he tells me that ali ba ba Sadiq Khan is intending to extend the ULEZ zone up to his doorstep, so he will be unable to use it at all.
