In 2019 I purchased a new car from a Ford dealership, part of the paperwork says it has a 7 year guarantee, something the salesman was eager to point out. Th crux of it is that Ford actually guarantee the vehicle for their normal 2 year warranty, and subsequently it is covered by an insurance policy, something I have had bad experiences of before, as nothing is ever covered its all wear a tear. I assume that any servicing can be carried out by a Bona Fide repair agent, like these quick fit enterprises that are in most towns, and not by the Ford main dealer. BTW I have no paperwork to support the extended warranty only on the original bill of sale, where an entry is made for it.

Look up EU Motor Vehicle Block Exemption Regulation (MVBER) - maybe start here

The EU Motor Vehicle Block Exemption Regulation (MVBER), prevents car manufacturers from forcing their customers to use their approved dealerships to maintain the warranty. This means independent garages can service a car without affecting its manufacturer warranty. But they must service or repair the vehicle in accordance with the manufacturer’s standards and only use manufacturer-approved parts and fluids. This must be documented on an itemised invoice.

Bottom line - if Feu Vert or whoever does the work, they must use Ford products to do it.

However, whether this applies to an insurance based warranty - I guess you need to see the policy you bought.
