I had never used this company before for work on my car. I needed my battery changing and I usually do that myself in the years gone by. This time for several reasons I got these guys to do it. It’s all online for the booking and - sorry for the non smartphone people - the whole process from registration in the garage to completion is done via SMS. It was seamless and worked as advertised. My only complaint was they claimed you could have a free coffee whilst waiting, it actually cost 1€.

I would probably use them again for simple stuff, has anybody else had experience using them?

We asked them about a trailer (we've sold our old big one and wanted something a bit smaller). Norauto could order us one but there was a rather large delivery charge. The saleswoman said that if we could order it online ourselves and could pick it up at the shop - and no delivery charge. She agreed it was batty.
Sorry, Dave, we haven't used Norauto for servicing etc but they are always busy at our local branch.

I have used them for polishing the headlamps and were OK. I also used them to fit new tyres, but They had put them on wrong according to the embossed instruction on the tyre “inside and outside” so they need a good check on their work before you leave.
mind you, even a garagist needs checking. My car had a new clutch fitted at the dealer. It was returned and I had to add 1 1/2 litre oil to the gearbox and the exhaust system has been botched with gun gum and missing shield bolts. I am back to DIY after that.

They bodged a new catalyctic converter on our Ford Focus. After fitting it the engine warning light kept coming on and it failed it's CT. Unable to correct it I tried to see the manager about it and twice when I went to see him at arranged interviews he had "had to go out". Never go near them now.
