Last autumn we had a major hedge clearing done. Part of it was a sloe thicket. Unfortunately this left us with a nasty surprise of long spines scattered around and over the last couple of days we have had punctures on our tractor and lawn mower.
Luckily our local tyre company are very good and when we rocked up with the tractor tyre they repaired it straight away with a new inner tube.
We had to go back yesterday with the mower tyre. They proposed a chemical tyre treatment not a foam, which is put into the tyre and which will deal with punctures from the inside. It’s only for vehicles that do less than 50kpm. We went a got a bottle and they did the work. No charge. The stuff costs 14 euros a bottle. Fingers crossed.
It’s called airMAN agrisealant

Tyre punctures on garden vehicles
We've used a spray in stuff for our ride-on mower and wheelbarrows - brilliant.
I punctured our big 2WD tractor front tyres after hedge cutting a long time ago .... I always get nervous when the commune is doing its élagage and stuff gets spread on the road ...
