Chinese goodies.

I have been paitently waiting for the delivery of a couple of zebra flysheets for the donkey, bought via internet from some French company who appears to be agents for a Chinese outfit. All the usual tracking data and according to the tracking, they were delivered on the 11th of this month. I have been back to the outfit to complain and then I remembered indeed getting a small parcel about that time. It contained some face masks and an 18kt gold ring. It also contained an invoice for the ring at €1900 (Hk$15200). The parcel customs lable declared the face masks and ornament at U$3.00. Thinking that this was an order by my daughter, I waited until she visited to hand it to her. It was not her order.
What do I do now?
I believe there has been an automatic lable address mix up and some lad expecting to get married now has a couple of zebra flysheets to offer his bride.
At the moment, I am winning, but what could be the concequences if I sold the ring to cover my lost flysheets?

Oh dear that's awful for the other person - I think you should go back to the company and explain the situation. They may even compensate you with some extra zebras for your honesty?
With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine.........The Corpse Bride

I would suspect the "gold" ring isn't!

I had an issue with a French reseller of Chinese knock-offs - luckily I bought from Amazon and they sorted it.

I guess it depends on how you purchased it - direct or via a marketplace. But I suggest contacting the seller for a refund. Then buy from a trustworthy European vendor. And if you used Visa / MC see if they will do a chargeback.

Gold or not, I don't care
I did not purchase it, it came in the post in place of my zebra flysheets, (bargain for me).
I don't want a refund, I want my flysheets.

Just had an email from china. Now they are in a panic and ask for photos of everything I received, insisting I don't return it to any of the addresses on the package until they OK it.

Return to China will be expensive - make sure you return only to France!
