Leclerc

#1 Post by hughnique »

This week saw the annual event of gathering up all the shrapnel accumulated over the past whatever months and pootling of down to Leclerc, to feed the coin gobbler and get an avoir in exchange. Now it's a nice clean pleasant shop and a pleasure to have a mooch around, but looking at the prices I thought it seemed a bit dear. Having noticed a 5 litre box of Grand Sud red Merlot I ferreted around for the same brand but only Rose, asked the assistant and he said he hadn't seen it about, so then he showed me to the make I wanted but in litre bottles, yes that's exactly the one, then I looked at the price label, 4.99€ a bottle, agreed not much for a litre of quaffable wine, but hey the same product in SuperU is a dead 4€ for exactly the same thing. Having made other purchases, we eventually found a till that wasn't an automated nightmare, gave her the 60€ avoir, paid another 75€ and left. It really is a shop where you can get mostly everything, but a bottle of wine at 25%, more than I normally pay, glad OH does not make a habit of shopping there.
