The gel product is incredibly attractive to them so if you put a few drops down where you see some ants, they'll be drawn to it. I've never seen quite as many ants as LAF's photo (fortunately). It works best on a hard surface like a tiled floor.
The photo shows the dead 'uns .

The best result for our mouse problem is The Big Cheese Ultra Power Electronic Mouse Killer
Brand: The Big Cheese baited with the irresistible crunchy peanut butter. Bought ours on Amazon but its not there at the moment.
For ants I've tried everything but the quickest and most reliable is the simple dry powder one. The gels are useless. Watch for ants during any long dry spell, hit them with some of the powder and they take it to the nest and do a couple of lines. Game over.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

What my mum did was sprinkle sugar to bring them out then poured boiling water on them!

Seems like I'm wasting my time posting a photo of ants killed by Fourmis gel

The gel works well here. The little plastic discs too, but not the cheaper brands.

Looks like I'm the only one who'd rather just deter than destroy! :D

@Bayleaf No you're not! As said earlier, we use talcum powder to deter them and it works. Our garden is riddled with ants and we get green woodpeckers feeding on them. Could these poisons be passed on to them?

Undoubtedly yes. The active ingredient is a neurotoxin* and so potentially harmful to all creatures.

Gazillions of the little things in the garden where I wouldn't dream of harming them unless I have to whack one who's climbed up me leg.
Once they start invading the house.... well, that's another matter. ;)
