Hotrodder wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 9:55 am Large bat. Not in the garden but in the bedroom. About 5:30 this morning the Mrs. nudges me awake and says there's a bat in the room! I woke to see a huge one (about 10" wingspan) circling overhead. Haven't a clue how he got there. I got up and opened the two velux windows but he just kept circling. I held up a pillow trying to herd him toward a window but no luck. In the end I found an old sheet and eventually managed to throw it over him and chuck it out of the window to set him free. I must have made a hilarious sight, chasing a frightened bat around the room in the noddy.
Happened to me a few times. I normally have to close the door(s) to whatever room it is in, so I'm not chasing him all over the house. Open the window in the room and hope no more come in while he figures out how to get out.

Happened again last night. There must be a bat-sized hole somewhere. The ceiling is only made up of 2" thick polystyrene slabs so I guess its a possibility.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

I like that very much - wish one would fly into my garden to keep all of my 'toys' happy
With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine.........The Corpse Bride
