Another little life saved (I hope)

#1 Post by L Austin France »

Locking up late last night there were a lot of feathers in our 'garden' loo & on inspection I found a rather disheveled Robin in a corner.
The poor little thing had a bit a fight left & a very loud cheep so I put it in a hay lined box & took it out to the chook house where the auto door flap was closed & Mme Chat couldn't get at it again.
This morning about 0800hrs it was still alive so I turned the box on it's side, left a bit of food & hoped it would be fit enough to find it's way out of the now open flap & fly off.
At about 1100 hrs I checked again & it was gone.
Hope it's OK.

Well done LAF. Perhaps it had had a fight with another robin - they're very territorial - and as it's coming up to nesting time, a jealous male might want to move in.
Did he say "Well you should see the other bugger" ??
