There was terrible blue picture of an Exotic ‘lipsticked’ song bird in the latest printed French Connexion recently a Leiothrix lutea
I know it as a Red Billed Leiothrix
IMG_3824 (Medium).JPG
It knocked itself out on the kitchen window a few years back

Lovely looking bird. If it is tame enough to sit on a finger, does that mean it is a domestic, caged bird?

We have had quite a few birds kissing the windows, they sit happily on your hand while they recover their wits. The window stickers do not seem to help much in warning them of a coming encounter.

Black and white, too young for a window collision.

City birds seem to find out early
How to open windows with just a song
A lot of food and they won't have to worry
They'll dress up all in colour, fly in style...
