Thanks Pathca

He's calm at the moment so we'll see what the night brings.

I was thinking of him - we took one of our dogs to a specialist clinic in Angers which seems very similar to NF's surgery. They were superb ....
Yes, you need sleep to be able to cope with all this - I hope you get some rest. Hope Sherlock get some sleep tonight too ...

Wishing you both a better night than last night and a speedy recovery for Sherlock from whatever it is.

@manonthemoon2 So sorry to read your last night's post. Giving cats tablets and applying cream to ailments is not an easy task - we were doing it twice a day for months until I read up about the side effects of the tablets which had begun to take place and so I took the decision to stop administering them and to let nature do what it must do but unlike yourself I had OH to help with the tasks. Is there anyone that could help you or is there a pet sitter near by that would help out? I don't know if this is of any help but our cat had to wear a collar. To begin with I removed it to give the tablet but she was clever and would hide it under her tongue or side of her mouth and then I'd find it on the floor. Eventually I found that it was easier to get the tablet down if she was wearing the collar as it restricted her tantrums! Just to add I think most cats are psycho pussies when the mood takes them. Best wishes to you both and maybe have a word with St Gertrude of Nivelles Patron Saint of Cats - I did.
