On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

It's changed completely . In the last 13 years that I have lived here , our vets was a small community operation . In all that time I saw only one vet - a local lady who dealt with smaller animals. Occasionally she would call on hr husband for help ( he usually dealt with farm animals ) .
My dog tore her cruciate ligament in her left leg last year just before my vets were due to retire . She then tore the other ligament just before Christmas several months after a 'takeover ' In just half a dozen or so visits I have seen 4 different vets and a consultation fee has risen from 27 to 39,50 euro. Fortunately the TPLO operation at a separate vets remained virtually unchanged T 1,700 .
It's a license to print money. Fortunately my dog seems to be recovering well from the second op !
