The end of an era

I have been the proud owner of dogs for 28 years often 3 mates at at a time sadly tonight is the first time without a canine friend in France, Betty a 15 year Border Terrier old age pensioner is now buried next to her brother Buster. I just wanted to say I loved them both

It feels like the end of the world when it happens and words don't help.
Like you we have had pets forever.
You say it's the end of an era but perhaps in the future you might feel like taking a rescue dog, plenty of people take an elderly dog in for its last few years.

I feel for you Steve, losing a pet is devastating. One of our Aussies will be 15 in September and although she is in excellent health for her age, we count every day we have her as a blessing.
They rest forever in our hearts, never forgotten.

Dogs, cats, hamsters .......... It probably makes no difference what the animal is. Once you have bonded that bond is unbreakable and the death of any such dear friend is unbearable. I feel for your loss of Betty.
