@L Austin France I thought of your Jessie when I read this amazing story. Whilst the dog isn't a Griffon, but a Hungarian wire haired vizsla, it's of a type !
The dog had one of those extendable leads which had tangled and retracted, tying him to the spot in a hedgerow for 12 days, without food or water.

Missing dog found by thermal drone
That's amazing! The owner must have been at her wit's end and probably thought her beloved dog was already dead. It's so heartwarming to hear of a drone being put to such good use.
