It's because of issues like this we are afraid to submit important financial info on line and continue to make our tax returns on paper.p4psb wrote: ↑Fri Apr 08, 2022 2:36 pm It is now temporarily suspended: https://www.lefigaro.fr/finances-perso/ ... e-20220408

I tackled our online forms today, they seemed the same as last year, except that the foreign bank accounts and life insurances, I had to redo them as they didn't appear this year.

Find the forms on the gouv.fr website and upload to your desktop. Using www.deepl.com you then drag the uploaded form to the left hand box & click on 'Translate Files' you will have to confirm the 'Data Privacy Notice' then select target language 'English (British)' & then click on translate and then copy the 'english' version to your desktop. Hope this is of some help.
That sounds very useful. I have Deepl on board but have never used it that way. Thanks.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

I did some preparation last week. I’ve got to wait for a six month statement for my Barclay’s savings account to get the total amount of interest I’ve earned and it should arrive mid-April. The last statement only showed up to October 2021. Looking at the numbers I’ve already got it looks as though the total interest earned on that account in 12 months should total just under £3. I might go out to celebrate.

Completed my late mother's form, that all worked fine, the foreign accounts on form 3916 popped up when I clicked on the boxes.
However when I went to start our declaration clicking on the 'report' boxes on 3916 deleted the accounts. Apparently this has been a common glitch. I haven't been back 'in' this morning to see if they have reappeared or not, if they haven't I'll have to type it all in again, drat.
BTW, don't forget that towards the end of the main form it asks if you want to give any extra information. It's useful if you're not sure you have got it all right, or to explain something.
I used it to say that whilst my mother's UK accounts were blocked straight after her death, the formal closing dates are a lot later due to the paperwork involved.

@Liz oh hec now you've frit me! when I did the 3916 a few days ago I clicked on the report button and in red ink it stated report activated so I thought all OK and I'm sure there was a message that said once report activated is pressed that you wouldn't be able to see those accounts again but then I may have my translation up the creek.
On a different note and it may be of use to someone? I had to add an account and delete an account on the supplementary page which I had trouble with cos I filled in all the account detail before filling the amount of accounts being added at the bottom of that page - even with my glasses on I could hardly see the little box and so I ended up doing the same thing several times before I saw the box and then of course once the number was entered I could move on to the next 'etape'
Why they put that line of info & the box at the bottom of the page when you have to fill it in before inserting the accounts I don't know. I think I'd better send an email to them and ask if they have my previous accounts listed or not as I don't want any penalties.

With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine.........The Corpse Bride

Not online as we have always done the paper ones.
However having just got this years forms it states that if nothing has changed theres no need to do anything or return it.

Would I be right in thinking that if you have previously done it online, you can't revert to paper? Short of telling them, by snail mail, that your computer is dead.
