Exoneration taxe foncière 2024
Going a bit off piste, but still on the assistance on saving money, I remember several years ago being able to get assistance with the cost of a mutuelle from the government here, came in the form of a cheque which you presented to your chosen assurance company, and I had to stump up the balance. I know I had it for at least 2 years, but on attending the local CPAM office, the particularly obnoxious woman up there, informed me that I was not eligible any more. Just wondering if it might be worth another look, anyone else had it?

I read about it a few years ago but found it all too complicated to get into.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

I didn't find it, from memory, that hard to apply, and I feel bloody sure that we would still benefit from it if this old vache hadn't just shut it down, she was a particularly hateful woman, detested the English, especially those on the earhole as she thought. evidently it is still available, so will have a look next week. Early night tonight. OH at Hospital 08.30 am for her carpal tunnel job, ready meals for a few weeks then.

That was the ACS, IIRC. We were eligible for a few years too, but it was scrapped in favour of the contributory CMU-C / CSS / C2S. (Is this a record for the most acronyms in one post?hughnique wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2024 3:51 pm Going a bit off piste, but still on the assistance on saving money, I remember several years ago being able to get assistance with the cost of a mutuelle from the government here, came in the form of a cheque which you presented to your chosen assurance company, and I had to stump up the balance. Nowadays there's a two-tier system depending on revenue. For a couple, for 2024, up to €15249 pa is free. Up to €20586 pa is contributory (Costs around €50 pm. A lot cheaper than a standard mutuelle!). Bear in mind that there's a 'penalty' for being a home-owner, though, which pushes the plafonds up a bit.

Quicksilver are you saying that I can get rid of our expensive mutuelle and go on this scheme, with whoever is running it, is that 50€ each, and where can I find the plafonds. Reverting back to the tax fonciere, I am 75 on the 17th Jan does that mean I have to wait another bloody year before exemption?Quiksilver wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2024 7:39 pmThat was the ACS, IIRC. Exoneration taxe foncière 2024
@hughnique - i lifted this from another site....its not well formatted but you will get the gist.
Household Size Sans Participation Avec Participation Financière
One Person <€10,116 <€13,724
Two People <€15,249 <€20,586
Three People <€18,298 <€24,703
Four People <€21,348 <€28,820
The threshold is increased by €4,066 or €5,490 (as applies) for each additional person.
However, the test of resources is not entirely that simple, for if you are an owner-occupier without a mortgage your income will be increased by a fixed sum (forfait) per month. Single persons are subject to a forfait of €76,28 a month (€915 a year) and couples to €152.57 a month (€1,830 a year), with increases for larger households. (2024/25)
Accordingly, an owner-occupied couple with an income of €15,000 per year without a mortgage will be assessed as having an income of €16,830.
The reference period for determination of your total income is the previous 12 months.
Age 'Participation Financière'
Up to 29 Years €8
30-49 Years €14
50-59 Years €21
60-69 Years €25
70+ Years €30

Exoneration taxe foncière 2024
Sorry to drag this up but the TF arrived last week and it doesn't mention anything about exoneration, there is a 100€ discount on there think for age related 64-75 years, what is the plafond then now for a couple of old farts, to get the benefit of not having to pay it.

Exoneration taxe foncière 2024
From this Perplexity AI search (which has better formatting and the links to references) https://www.perplexity.ai/search/what-a ... xFxJK6MHOQ
For 2025, the income levels for discounts or exemptions on France’s taxe foncière are based on the household’s “revenu fiscal de référence” (taxable income) from 2024, and vary depending on the size of the household (family quotient).
### Income Thresholds for 2025 Discount or Exemption
- For a single person (1 part): €12,679 to €12,704
- For 1.5 parts: €16,065
- For a couple (2 parts): €19,451 to €19,097
- For 2.5 parts: €22,837
- For 3 parts: €26,223
- Each additional half part: +€3,386
Note: Slight differences in numbers across sources are due to rounding or interpretation of official documents, but the range is clear.
### Who Qualifies for Full or Partial Exemption?
- People aged 75 and over on January 1, 2025, subject to income not exceeding the above thresholds.
- Recipients of certain social benefits (ASPA, ASI, AAH), also meeting the same income conditions.
- People aged 65 to 75 may receive a flat-rate reduction of €100 on their tax if their income meets the threshold, but not a full exemption.
### Other Notes
- Relief applies only to the main residence.
- If someone lives with another family member, relief still applies regardless of the other member’s income.
- There is a cap: If the taxe foncière exceeds 50% of total net income, tax can be capped for eligible households, but this is rare; for a couple, the cap applies if income is below €42,265.
All information refers to income declared in 2024 for the taxe foncière billed in 2025.
If additional reductions or local council caps are available, these are at local discretion and not widely adopted.
