Yes I know the rules say you work out the rate the day you receive any funds in £s but if it's just small amounts who bothers?
AFAIK the Fisc applies their own average rate for the year.

@MAD87 I have used two methods over the years. Average and actual. Never used the Fisc’s rate.

Below is from the Connexion who say it's 1.7764 or rounded up it's 1.18
I made myself a form that I complete each time a pension arrives cos they all arrive on different dates and between us we have 6 different pensions (inc 2 x UK OAP) The two UK state pensions we have paid direct into the French account. The other four once they've arrived I exchange and send using the rate I get on that date in the month.

In section Traitements, Salaires ....... I input my husband's salary, then I've noticed there is a section for Pensions, Retraites, Rentes boxes 1AS for him and 1BS for me. Should UK state pension also go in this box (1BS) as well as box 1BM.

I couldn't find box 8SH to put my S1 and my husband doesn't get cover on S1, almost managed to do it but haven't submitted it yet.

This is a good guide in English to help completing the tax forms. The version online for a previous yearr but I don't think there are any significant changes.
https://bh-assurances.fr/wp-content/upl ... ONLINE.pdf
If you download it, the location of 8SH is mentioned on page 35

In past years, an updated version has been e-mailed to those who have signed up to the newsletter https://bh-assurances.fr/newsletter/

I don't see how they can Mad. All of my inputs are in Euros - converted from GBP as necessary. So the fisc never know what was the GBP value to apply their own values. I keep track of income and expenditure on a monthly basis and so use the rate at the start of each month to convert any GBP income (or expenditure for that matter). No one has ever questioned what system I have used and I think for the sums that I expect we all declare, whatever honest calculation is used will end up with a tax liability +/- within & couple of euros.

Not so of course with regards the financial high fliers where attention might be rather more focused.

On Paypal the Impots site says you don't have to declare a paypal account if
"Aussi, si vous détenez un compte Paypal qui ne sert qu'à régler vos achats, ou encore via lequel vous avez encaissé moins de 10 000€ dans l'année, vous n'avez pas à le déclarer."
